Show Team 2017!

Hey Raynham Riders!

I know 2016 has just begun but I'm already working to get organized for Show Season 2017! Some riders submitted a show team application but I feel like I am missing quite a few! To try to streamline the process, please fill out the online form (https://goo.gl/forms/ZZqDXSyukeat3VUj1), even if you have already submitted a paper form.

Also, I have not finished updating the Show Package for 2017, but nothing will be drastically different, so here is the link to the 2016 Show Package for reference - http://www.raynhamstables.com/…/90326…/2016_show_package.doc

We will be having a show team "Meet & Greet" again this year to go over all the details involved in competing. Date and location TBA!

Who's already getting excited for show season?!?!

Tuesday, January 10th - Lessons WILL be running

Hey Tuesday Riders,

Right now the driving conditions around the farm are fine - main roads are just wet and the side roads have been plowed.  I understand that the driving conditions in Toronto are not as pleasant so if you are coming from a distance and are not comfortable driving - no problem, but please let me know ASAP so we can make adjustments to the schedule if needed.

Hope to see you all tonight!

Jessica Costello Clinic Schedule - Friday, January 13th

Good Morning!

We had a huge response for the clinic with Jess this Friday.  We were not able to fit everyone in that had requested to participate so we are planning to offer a second date.  I will confirm the date as soon as it is confirmed.  If you would like to be added to the list, please send me an email.

Below is the schedule for Friday.  If you are scheduled for a time that you cannot ride at, please let me know ASAP so I can get it sorted.  We highly recommend that riders watch as many of the other lessons as possible - you can learn a ton from auditing!  You can bundle up with me on the bleachers to stay warm,  I'm hoping to get to watch everyone!  We will have snacks and hot drinks available in the camp trailer.  If people are interested, we can always order a pizza for dinner :)

Riders should dress warmly but neatly so Jess can easily see your position.  Horses need to be groomed thoroughly and tack should be immaculate.  Riders are asked to mount 15 min early to lightly warm up before the start of your lesson.  The clinic will run in the big arena and riders can also warm up in the big ring, just be sure to stay out of the way of the current lesson.

Can't wait to see you all Friday!

Sunday, January 8th - Ring Two Cancelled, Ring One Optional

Hey Raynham Riders,

It was quite chilly today and the forecast is calling for it to be even colder tomorrow so we are going to cancel lessons for riders in Ring Two (since many of these riders are younger/don't have specific winter riding gear).  You do not need to schedule a make-up lesson as we bill for one less class this session in case of a cold weather cancellation.  For those of you that are scheduled in Ring One,  Lindsay is willing to brave the cold if you still wish to ride tomorrow.  In case you don't know who you are, I have posted the schedule below :)

It is supposed to go up to -12c, so it's just right at the temperature at which we cancel so for those that have all proper winter gear, you will be fine!  If you are in Ring One and do not wish to ride tomorrow, please send me an email, info@raynhamstables.com, so we know who to expect.

The good news is that although it's cold this weekend, they have changed the long-range forecast for this winter - apparently now it is supposed to be above seasonal for the next 8 weeks.  Fingers crossed!

Stay warm and see you either tomorrow or next week :)
