Wednesday, Feb 26th - LESSONS CANCELLED

Hey Wednesday Riders,

Unfortunately, the forecast has not improved and it is already snowing steadily here.   It looks like the afternoon commute is going to be a mess and since we have many riders that come from a distance on Wednesdays, we have decided to cancel classes.    As this is the first cancellation on a Wednesday, riders do not need to reschedule the class as we have one inclement weather cancellation built into the session.

Stay safe today on your way home from work/school!

Wednesday, Feb 26th - Keeping an Eye on the Weather

Hey Wednesday Riders!

They are calling for quite a bit of snow this afternoon and evening, so we are keeping an eye on the forecast. Unless it changes so that the snow isn't coming until later in the evening/overnight, we will be canceling classes for tonight. We will post a final decision by 1pm both here and on Facebook.

March Break Clinics

Hey Raynham Riders!

I am considering offering two days of clinics over March Break with both riding (dressage day and stadium/indoor eventing day) and stable management portions if there is enough interest. The clinics would run on March 17, 18 or 19th. Please send me an email if you are interested, and which day(s) you are available.

Also, please let me know if you have anything specific that you are interested in for stable management. Topics we are considering include:

- How to put on boots (open front, brush boots, shipping boots, bell boots, etc.)
- How to do polo and standing wraps
- How to take temperature, pulse, respiration rates
- Basic first aid
- Parts of the tack, types of bits, how to properly care for/clean tack
- Horse anatomy & function
- How to lunge

I think we could have a fun few days! Let me know :)

Spring Lesson Availability

Hey Raynham Riders!

It's hard to believe, but we are less than three weeks away from the end of the winter session! We are anticipating a lot of changes to the schedule for the next session so we are asking ALL riders to please submit the Spring Lesson Availability Form by Friday, March 6th.

If you took the winter session off and are wishing to return for spring classes, please submit your availability ASAP as we will be accepting riders back in order of registration, space permitting.  The more availability you are able to provide, the more likely we will be able to fit you back into the schedule.  We plan to post the updated schedule before March Break.

If you are unable to continue with classes next session, please let us know by March 6th as well so we can fill your spot.

We look forward to seeing some familiar faces back in the barn in a few weeks!

Saturday, Feb 8th - Lessons Cancelled

Hey Saturday Riders,

It is VERY chilly outside this morning, and will stay below our -12c cut off temperature for much of the day, so we have decided to cancel classes. If you have paid for a full session of lessons, you do not need to schedule a make-up as we have built one inclement weather cancellation into the session. If you had booked a single lessons for today, please send us an email to reschedule.

Stay warm today!
