Monday, February 16th - Extreme Cold Weather Cancellation

Hey Monday Riders,

Sadly we are going to have to cancel classes today.  It's is -18c out right now and although it's supposed to warm up slightly this afternoon, it will get very cold again this evening.  Unfortunately this is the second Monday that we have had to cancel this session which means that riders do need to book a make-up for tonight.   Just a reminder that we only invoiced for 7 weeks even though they are 8 weeks this session so that you did not have to worry about a make up for the first cancellation. If we have to cancel a third Monday this session, we will deduct the class off the next session's fees so riders only have one make-up to worry about.  Riders are welcome to wait and book their make-up next session when the weather will hopefully be a little more accommodating.

Sunday, February 15th - Extreme Cold Weather Cancellation

Hi Sunday Riders,

I'm sure you guessed it, we are cancelling lessons today.  It is a record-breaking -27c, feels like -44c with the windchill out right now - brrrr!  As this is the first Sunday we have had to cancel this session, you do not need to book a make-up lesson as we only invoiced for 7 weeks even though it is an 8 week session.

Thursday, February 12th - Extreme Cold Weather Cancellation

Hey Thursday Riders,

Sadly we are going to have to cancel classes today.  It's already -19c (-32c with the windchill, crazy!) and it's only supposed to get colder this evening.  Unfortunately this is the second Thursday that we have had to cancel this session which means that riders do need to book a make-up for tonight.   Just a reminder that we only invoiced for 7 weeks even though they are 8 weeks this session so that the first cancellation we do not have to worry about make-ups.  If we have to cancel a third Thursday this session, we will deduct the class off the next session's fees riders would only have one make-up to worry about.  Riders are welcome to wait and book their make-up next session when the weather will hopefully be a little more accommodating.

2015 Summer Camp Details!

Even thought is very much winter outside today, we are already gearing up for the summer! We are very excited to announce our 2015 Summer Camp details.

2015 Camp Details:

• SESSION FEES: $796.26 + HST = $900.00 (No increase from 2014!) 
• BEFORE CARE:   Complementary
• AFTER CARE:  FREE IN 2015!  (Previously $60/session) 
• EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT:  Register & pay in full by April 30th and receive $50.00 OFF your camp session!
• REFER A FRIEND DISCOUNT: Refer a friend who has not attending summer camp or taken lessons with Raynham Stables previously and receive $50.00 OFF your camp session!
• NEW! TRANSPORTATION: Exciting news for this summer - We are offering point-to-point busing from 4 stops in Toronto and stops along Hwy 400.  The cost will be $100/camper/week ($200 per session).   

2015 Themes and Dates:

Session One: June 29th – July 10th

Raynham Time Travellers

• Day Camp Program: 10 days, Monday - Friday

Campers, are you ready to blast through time for a new adventure each day? Challenges will include a “mummy wrap” race through Ancient Egypt, a horseback jousting challenge from Medieval times, a Pioneer “barn raising” tower building contest and a Wild West “Wagon Train” obstacle course and much more!  Camp will conclude with a Parent Show where campers will show off awesome routines featuring all of the eras we visited!

Session Two:  July 13 – July 24th

Raynham Pan Am Games!

• Day Camp Program: 10 days, Monday - Friday

Raynham is going to host our own version of the Pan-Am Games, which will be running in Toronto during this session!  Campers will get to experience the excitement of the Pan Am’s through challenges featuring the many of 36 sports featured at the Games.   We’ll show off our new skills as we go for the gold at Parent Show!

Session Three:  July 26th – July 31

Raynham Boot Camp

•  Residential Camp Program: 6 days, Sunday – Friday

This camp is for intermediate and advanced riders who are serious about improving their skills and expanding their equestrian knowledge! The week-long program will include session with experts including an equine nutritionist, veterinarian and farrier as well as video analysis lessons, semi-private dressage lessons and cross country schooling (off-property schooling available for advanced riders, additional fee applies).   This session concludes with a mini-show to test your new skills!

Session Four:  August 9 – August 14

Game Show Mania!

•  Residential Camp Program: 6 days, Sunday – Friday

Earn a fork for dinner by completing the cup stacking challenge in less than 60 seconds! Throughout the session, campers will participate in challenges based on your all-time favourite game shows including Minute to Win It, Deal or No Deal, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune and more!  This session will conclude with a Parent vs. Campers Game Show!

Session Five: August 17 – August 28

Treasure Hunters

• Day Camp Program: 10 days, Monday – Friday

Discover the ancient hidden treasure at Raynham Stables!  Your quest will begin by finding your way through the labyrinth to retrieve the hidden treasure map.  Using the map, you will work with your team to solve the riddles to discover the location of the hidden treasure!  Camper will conclude their two-week journey with an action-packed Parent Show illustrating their adventures!

I really didn't want to have to cancel but unfortunately it is supposed to be -15c this evening so it is below our cut-off temperature for running classes.  Bummer!  It you would like to schedule a make-up lesson, just send me an email!

Hey Raynham Riders!  You probably guessed it when you stepped outside this morning - lessons are cancelled this evening.  The roads are messy and it's very, very cold out so stay safe and warm tonight.  As we only invoiced for 7 classes this session, you do not have to schedule a make-up but you are welcome to if you wish!
