Want to get ready for the try-outs/winter schooling

show? Or just keen to get back in the saddle?  Come for  

an intensive two-day clinic!

Clinic Highlights:

• TWO rides each day
• Video analysis
• Lunch included
• Riders are allowed to bring a groom to audit (lunch included)
• Classroom lesson both days

 Dates

• Dressage - Thursday, Jan.3rd
• Show Jumping - Friday, Jan. 4th

Clinic Format

AM: Group lesson, maximum of 4 riders. Lesson will be focused on the skills needed for your dressage test or course jumping techniques.

LUNCH:  Meal is included as well as classroom session after lunch. Dressage lecture will focus on the Training Pyramid and tips to improve your dressage test scores. Show Jumping lecture will include a how-to on walking your course, seeing your line & stride and more.

PM: Riders will ride their dressage test (Thursday) or jump a stadium round (Friday) while being videoed. We will review the footage with feedback so the riders can see where they are excelling and where they need improvement. Riders will receive a copy of the notes to take home to review.

Fees

One Day:

• School Horse: 88.50/day + HST $100.00
• Own horse: $79.65/day + HST = $90.00

Both Days: Ride both days and save $25!

• School Horse: $154.87 + HST = $175.00 
• Own Horse: $137.17 + HST = $155.00

Try-Outs & Winter Schooling Show - Saturday, January 5th

I just wanted to post a reminder that the Show Team Try-Outs & Winter Schooling Show have been moved Saturday, January 5th.  You may use the regular online registration form for try-outs, http://www.raynhamstables.com/entry-form.html, please make a note in the comments section.

Show Details

Approximate Time Schedule:

The times are for the start of the division.  Riders will need to arrive at least 45min early to do a thorough grooming, clean their tack, then tack-up and mount 15 min before their start time to warm up.

10:00am:   Pre-Entry Dressage Start
11:00am:   Entry Dressage Start
12:00am:   Pre-Training Dressage Start
12:30pm:   Lunch Break and course set-up/walk
1:30pm:     Stadium Begins (Runs in order of division)
3:00pm:     Grasshopper & Smurf Divisions

Dressage Test

Riders in the combined test must learn their dressage test.  We cannot call tests for riders.  If you need to have a test called, a parent or friend will need to call for you.

Attire:

Please dress neatly but appropriately for the weather.  Be sure to arrive early enough to do an impecable grooming job and clean tack.  You will need to be here one hour before your division unless your horse will already be tacked up.

Other: Please leave dogs at home

Clinic Groups & Times

Auditing spaces are still available! 

Even if you do no feel ready to ride in the clinic,  we encourage everyone to come audit (watch) the clinic, as you can gain a ton of knowledge from observing!

Auditing Fees (includes meals):

- $25 for Friday, $30 for Saturday or $50 for both days if paid for by Thursday, Dec 15^th

- $35 for Friday, $45 for Saturday if purchased at the door

Jessica Phoenix Clinic!

Friday, December 14th & Saturday, December 15th

We are excited to announce that Jessie is coming back again this year for our winter clinic! 
For those of you who do not know who Jessie is, she was our 2012 OHTA Leading Lady Rider, highest placed Canadian at the 2012 London Olympics in 3 Day Evening and was 2011 PanAm Games individual gold and team silver medalist!  Last year everyone had a blast and learned a ton from Jessie's upbeat and positive coaching style. 

There will only be 20 spaces available in the clinic.  Show team riders will have first opportunity to reserve a space and then we will open up the remaining spaces to the riding school.  If you are interested in riding in the clinic, please email Nikki ASAP!

Clinic Format

Friday: 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Saturday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
4, 1½ hour group (of 5 or 6 riders) jumping lessons

Raynham Gear!

It's that time of year again!  We are putting together our holiday order of Raynham Apparel.  You can find our list of available items on our website.  Please email in your order to Nikki by Monday, November 19th.  We have samples and some items in stock, come to the office to check them out!

Lost & Found Sale

Have you misplaced a pair of half chaps? Sweater? Jacket?  Chances are they found their way up to the loft!  Kelly and Lisa kindly tidied up all of the very dusty lost and found items, washed them and have displayed them in the small arena viewing lounge.  All items are being sold for $2.00, even if they belong to you - storage and washing fee!  There are some very nice items, please come take a peak at your next lesson!  All funds will be donated to the Show Team.

RAFFLE!

The Show Team is doing a raffle!  The funds will be going towards purchasing a terrific portable cross country jump that can be used indoors to continuing training year-round.  It also will be available for use by school students (and potential future show riders!) to give them a taste of cross country riding.  It is adaptable to all of the configurations shown!

First prize is an iPad Mini and second prize is a Kobo eReader! Tickets are 1 for $10 or 3 for $20.  

   











Show Team members will have tickets so you can purchase them directly from them or the office at the barn.  We will be doing the draw at our fabulous 4th Annual Raynham Holiday and Awards Banquet.  Tickets are $60 per person and include an hors d’ouevres reception, delicious meal, fabulous silent auction and a chance to see everyone out of their barn grubbies!  Invite your friends and family, everyone is welcome to attend.

Lessons Cancelled

We have decided to cancel today due to the high winds.  As it is the first class of the session, you can just pay for a 7 week session if you prefer rather than scheduling a make-up.

Halloween Schooling Show Start Times

Thank-you to everyone that registered!  We are going to have a terrific day tomorrow.   When you arrive, please head to the camp trailer to sign in.  

We will be running our Fall Volunteer Day after the show! If you have some time, we would appreciate it if you can stick around and help us prepare for the winter. 

Notes:

- We will have food and drinks available for sale in the camp trailer. 

- No dogs please

- Show attire is not required, just dress neatly and appropriately  for the weather
