Schooling Show Start Times

 Hey Raynham Riders,

A huge thanks to Gabby for all her work putting them together!  We are still hoping we will be able to run the show outdoors (with the warm-ups in the indoors), but we will post an update Friday.
For the combined test divisions, riders should be in the warm-ups 20 min early for dressage, and 10 min before show jumping (since your horse will already be warmed up from dressage).   For the equitation divisions (Grasshopper & Smurf), there are warm-up times included in the start times.
Here were the details I sent out on Monday again:
  • Payment: Cash or cheque to the secretary on the morning of the show, or e-transfer.
  • Attire: Show Team Riders should *ideally* dress/prepare their horse as if it were a regular off-property show (full show attire & braid). New show riders may not have all their show gear yet - that's totally fine, just dress neatly!
  • Spectators: This will depend on whether or not we are able to run the show classes outdoors. If we are, there will not be a limit on spectators, but if we are stuck indoors the limit will be 2 per rider.
  • Dogs: Please don't bring dogs Saturday, it will be hectic enough as is!
  • Food: We will have food available for purchase - coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water pop, muffins, cookies, chips, and pizza (from Nobleton Pizza & Wings - yum!) for lunch! Concessions will be CASH only.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!  We are looking forward to a fun show on Saturday!

Spring Session Updates & Reminders!

Hey Raynham Riders,

Here are a few reminders/updates as the spring session gets underway!

UPCOMING DATES

  • Sunday, April 17th - Closed for Easter

  • Saturday, April 30th - Spring Schooling Show (no lessons)

  • Monday, May 9th - Second Installment due for Spring Lesson Fees

  • Sunday, June 26th - Last day of the Spring Session

BILLING

We have switched accounting software and are now using QuickBooks. If you have any questions or concerns about your Spring Invoice, please let us know! It was a tricky process this session as we had to go through everyone’s account to see who we owed, or who owed us after the cold winter session.

And since this is a longer session, you have the option to pay in two installments. The first is due IMMEDIATELY, and the second is due May 9.  Thank you to everyone who has already sent us their payment.

VOLUNTEERS

If you are 12 or older and would like to help out at the barn and spend more time with the horses, then we’d love the help!! We greatly appreciate having extra helpers. Please send us an email if you are interested and we will send you the information to sign up.

SPRING SCHOOLING SHOW

We are VERY excited that we are finally able to run a schooling show again! The Spring Schooling Show is scheduled for Saturday, April 30th, and is open to Raynham riders of all levels. Students should speak with their instructors at their next lesson to see which division to enter at the show.  You can see further details on the schooling show and enter online HERE!  Just a reminder that there are NO lessons on schooling show days and make-up lessons are not required as the date was not included in the session.

SUMMER CLASSES

With our very busy lesson and show program, we are no longer able to offer summer camps.  We will continue to offer regular lessons throughout the summer this year instead.  We may offer a limited program for new students, and we are also looking into offering a Rider Level prep course over the summer, details are to be announced shortly!  Please let us know if you have any questions!

MAKE-UP LESSON POLICY REMINDER

If you know you will be missing a class, please let us know as soon as possible!   As we are fully booked, spaces to schedule a make-up lesson are created by other riders cancelling with sufficient notice. It is virtually impossible for us to fill your spot with only 24 hours' notice.  A reminder that we accommodate TWO make-up lessons per session. If you provide more than two weeks' notice, then we can extend more make-up lessons. However, NO make-up lesson is provided with less than 24 hours' notice. Below is our make-up lesson policy for further details:

Make-Up Lesson Policy:

Students may have TWO make-up lessons per session, as long as you provide at least 24 hours' notice via email.  We will reply to your email with a code to book a make-up lesson using our online scheduler.   With less than 24 hours' notice, unfortunately, no make-up lessons can be provided.   The only exception to this rule is a pre-planned absence (i.e. vacation, family event, etc.);  you may reschedule more than two lessons if you provide at least TWO-WEEKS advance notice.

  • If you cancel a private lesson, you may not be able to find an opening for a private make-up lesson and may have to do a group lesson instead.

  • Make-up lessons are only available to students currently enrolled in lessons and must be made up prior to the end of the session.

  • Make-up lessons are non-transferable and cannot be deducted from the next session fees.

  • Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled once booked.

  • In the event  Raynham Stables has to cancel a class, we will ensure that you are able to reschedule the lesson or we will deduct it off the next session's fees.

As always, we are working to make Raynham the BEST place to ride.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
