Midsouth 3-Day Event Report
First, I would like to thank everyone for your support while
we were away competing in Kentucky this past week. I would not have been able to achieve my goal
of completing my first CCI 1* without the tremendous support from my family
(Lindsay & Caryn, my hubby Jamie and my munchkin Alex), my coaches Jo and
Jess and of course the wonderful Buttercup.
Much thanks goes out to our amazing barn staff, Leah, Cassie and Lisa
and all the weekend girls, our fabulous substitute coaches, Jilly, Kelly and
Dawn and of course our awesome students for their encouragement and
understanding while Lindsay, Alex and I were MIA this past week. Despite the wet and chilly conditions,
Buttercup and I had a terrific time and learned a ton from the experience. We are also very proud of our students’ (Alex
Simone & River, Alex Nisker & Snoopy, Haley Green & Aspen, and
Bianca Iddiols & Apple Pie) successes as well. It was an educational weekend for all and a big
congrats go out to Bianca and Apple Pie for their 5th place finish in the Open Novice
D division.
HALLOWEEN SCHOOLING
SHOW CLARIFICATION
Saturday, October 26th
I apologize for the confusion regarding the date of the
Halloween Schooling Show this weekend.
The show will be held on
SATURDAY, October 26th, as indicated on the calendar. Unfortunately there was a typo in the dates
on the column beside the calendar, which caused confusion. To clarify, the show will run SATURDAY and there are no classes on Saturday (students do not require a make-up as that
date was not included in the session). Classes will run as usual on Sunday.
All students are welcome to participate in the schooling
show. There are classes available for
all levels of riders as well as the always-entertaining Halloween Costume
Class! If you are interested in participating, you can enter online, http://www.raynhamstables.com/entry-form.html. Please register by Thursday, October
25th. Start times will be posted on the
blog on Friday by 4pm.
More details on how the schooling shows run is available on
the website: http://www.raynhamstables.com/schooling-shows.html.
Feel free to email or speak with your coach at your lesson if you have any
further questions!
Lesson Session Two:
Monday, Oct 28th – December 22nd
Just a reminder to all students that the next lesson session
begins on Monday, October 28th. All
students are automatically registered for the following session unless you
notify the office two-weeks prior to the start of the next session. If you need to make a change to your lesson
time, please let us know ASAP! Invoices
for next session will be emailed out this week.
Raynham Holiday and
Awards Banquet – Friday, November 29th
SAVE THE DATE! Join
us for the 5th Annual Raynham Holiday and Awards Banquet. We are
going to have a terrific silent auction, door prizes, a delicious meal, music,
dancing and our in-house and off-property high-point awards. We would
like to emphasize that the banquet is open to all of our riders and
their friends and families. It's great to see everyone out of your
barn grubbies and have a fun evening out together! Tickets will be available soon.
Jessica Phoenix Clinic – Friday, December 6th
& Saturday, December 7th
We are
excited to announce that Jessie is coming back again this year for our winter
clinic!
For those of you who do not know who Jessie is, she was our 2012 OHTA Leading Lady Rider, highest placed Canadian at the 2012 London Olympics in 3 Day Evening and was 2011 PanAm Games individual gold and team silver medalist! Last year everyone had a blast and learned a ton from Jessie's upbeat and positive coaching style.
There will only be 20 spaces available in the clinic. Show team riders will have first opportunity to reserve a space and then we will open up the remaining spaces to the riding school. If you are interested in riding in the clinic, please email Nikki ASAP!
