Halloween Schooling Show - Saturday, October 27th

Our schooling shows are a great opportunity to show off your skills for friends and family and get a taste of competition!  They are very low-key, we will coach you through it if you need help and everyone gets to go home with a ribbon.   Riders can enter online and find all the details here:
    http://www.raynhamstables.com/schooling-shows.html.  Entries are due by
9:00am on Thursday.  Since it looks like the weather may not cooperate, we are going to run the "dressage flat class" instead of a dressage test to keep riders dry and warm!

Just a reminder that schooling show dates are not included in the lesson sessions, so there are no classes this Saturday and no make-ups are required.

Start times and horse assignments will be posted on the blog (www.raynhamstables.blogspot.com) by Friday morning.  We can't wait to see you all there!
Fall Fundraisers - Macmillians & North Country Meats

We are running TWO fundraisers this fall - Macmillians & North Country Meats.  Past fundraising has helped to purchase new stadium jumps, develop our XC field, purchase dressage saddles for the school horses and more!  This fall, fundraising has allowed us to purchase new mirrors in the small arena - Lindsay is working on installing them right now!

We are currently fundraising to be able to install lighting in the outdoor stadium ring and possibly even finishing (and heating!) the tack up area.   Have any suggestions for future fundraisers or what to fundraise for?  We're always open to suggestions!

If you are interested in ordering, there are order forms available in the riding school tack up area.  You can also order via email or at the schooling show on Saturday.  Any support is greatly appreciated!
10th Annual Raynham Holiday & Awards Banquet!

It's hard to believe, but we're already at our 10th Holiday Banquet! We will be holding the banquet on Friday, November 16th at the lovely Nobleton Lakes Golf Course, just 5 minutes from the barn.  All our riders are welcome to attend for a fun evening of dinner, dancing, silent auction, games, awards and more!  It's always a blast to see everyone out of their barn grubbies :)

Tickets are $65 for adult and $35 for children 12 & under.  Tickets need to be reserved by Friday, November 2nd by emailing Sue - skocaurek@rogers.com.  Payment can be made by cash or cheque payable to "Raynham Show Team".

We hope to see you all there!
    Riding School Reminders:

FALL LESSON BALANCE:  The balance for the fall session was due Monday, October 22nd.  If you have already submitted your payment - THANK YOU!  If not, please do so at your next class or via e-transfer.  If you are unsure of your balance,  just send email us and we can resend your fall invoice.

SESSION TWO CLASSES: All riders are automatically enrolled for the next session at the same time unless you let us know you wish to make a change.  We ask that all riders notify us via email of any changes required for the next session by Monday, December 10th so we have time to adjust the schedule for session two as needed.

MISSED CLASSES:  Just a reminder that we require ONE WEEKS NOTICE to reschedule a lesson. There is no limit to how many classes you can reschedule.  If you provide less than a weeks notice, it's considered a make-up lesson and riders are only entitled to one make-up lesson per package of lessons.  If you know of any upcoming dates you will miss, please let us know ASAP so we can open up your spot on the scheduler.   All our lesson policies can be viewed here:  http://www.raynhamstables.com/riding-school-policies.html.

RIDERS RESPONSIBILITIES:  Please ensure you arrive 30 min before your lesson time to be able to properly groom and saddle your horse as well as sweep up your grooming stall before your lesson.  After the class, riders are expected to cool out and groom their horse, clean their tack and sweep their grooming stall which will take another 30 min.  The care of the horses and equipment is an essential part of horsemanship and learning to ride!
