Hey Raynham Riders,
It's pretty chilly right now, but thankfully it will be warming up, so classes will be running today. I have emailed the 9:30am class to move them to later/reschedule since it will take a few hours to warm up.
I have seen some people come to the barn very underdressed this winter. Please make sure you dress as if you would if you were skiing or tobogganing. Here are my tips (as someone that is always cold!:
- Headband for under your helmet (or earmuffs, fuzzy helmet cover, etc)
- Thermal base layer top, fleece top, then a winter jacket (I even wear a down vest too!)
- Winter breeches or long johns under your breeches and even add snow pants on top if you get cold!
- Wool socks and winter riding boots (or your regular winter boots if they have a suitable sole)
- Winter gloves or mittens
- Add hot packs in your gloves and/or boots if you tend to get cold!
This winter sure has made the tack-up area reno feel worthwhile! The heat is on in the tack up area :)
See you soon!
Nikki
